In this assignment we are going to make a logo for a new company called Food & Malt. Food & Malt is a new company starting by the two friends Anders Braathen and Even Vehla. I´m going to make a logo for their company. I started by doing some research about the main competitors, the marked, their logos and style, the target audience and so on.

Then I did a mind map to get the thoughts together and to come up with some ideas for my logo. I had then a small idea for what I wanted to include in my logo and what I wanted my logo to represent. I wanted the logo to be masculine, because Food and Malt is about beer and dude food, and are targeting most males. I then thought about Norway and got inspired by Vikings, and the hipster looks.

This assignment was a very hard assignment to do. To find a design, do a lot of research, see a lot of learning videos to learn both Illustrator and InDesign for the logo and report, in only four weeks. I did my best and got quite satisfied by the end result. In the end I see things that I would have done different, just small changes. Make the typeface more standing out, and maybe a darker color on the yellow. But I did´t see that until I was finish with the assignment. But I learned a lot. To see things different, the design part, creativity, typeface and color use and so on. So I can´t wait for the next assignment to do it even better.
